Lausitz University of Applied Sciences offers its international applicants a Preparatory Programme including a one-year German Language Intensive Course as well as a German Conversation Tutorial and integrated subject-specific course units with reference to both cultural and scientific components. In addition the Preparatory Programme runs alongside a Tandem mentoring scheme.
Lausitz University of Applied Sciences does not charge tuition fees for your Preparatory Programme. Participating students just pay their registration fee of € 117 per semester.

The Hochschule Lausitz offers students the chance to live in the halls of residence on both the Senftenberg and Cottbus campuses. The Studentenwerk Frankfurt (Oder) offers:
Rooms are fully furnished (with a desk, stool, bed, bedside cabinet, shelves, wardrobe and lamps):
- Bedding must be brought with you or you can buy it from the porters when you arrive
- Kitchens and kitchenettes are provided with a refrigerator, sink and cupboards
- Kitchen utensils are not provided
- Bathrooms are kitted out with a shower and a toilet
- Connections are available for radio, TV, telephones and internet
- Washing machines, driers, and bicycle rooms are also in the halls of residence.
Monthly rent costs fall between 150-200€, and this is inclusive of all bills (including electricity).
