The general student advice centre at the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences...

• advises both prospective and current students free about all questions regarding studies, especially possible courses and conditions, content, structure and demands of the studies
• offers confidential, if required anonymous, individual consulting and support concerning personal difficulties related to the studies during the course
• runs Information events, discussion groups for school classes, year groups, teachers and parents in grammar schools, sixth for colleges etc. about all questions concerning studying
• organises excursions, project days etc. for local school children at the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences at the Senftenberg and Cottbus sites in close collaboration with all departments
• informs about further advice possibilities at the university and in the region (including specialist academic advisors, university teams at the job centre etc).

Specialist academic advice

More extensive than the advice service of the general student advice service, the Specialist academic advice offers a specific specialist advice regarding content, organisation of studies, and specific requirements of the applicants for a particular course.

The Frankfurt (Oder) Studentenwerk (students union), region Cottbus, offers with the Psychological consulting in the Studentenhaus Cottbus a place, where the students can openly speak about their difficulties with a psychologist.

The arrangement of appointments is part of social consulting by Frau Dietrich (0049 355/7821201 – Mondays to Thursdays).
