Best conditions for students

Short ways

The UAS Lausitz offers in Cottbus and in Senftenberg unique study conditions. The generous green campus parks facilitate a study of short ways. Modern laboratory buildings, lecture halls and experimental stations, refectories and residential accommodations, and the university library, provided with most modern media technology, constitute the fundament for an ideal learning ambiance. Practice-orientated study contents and the internationality of the University of Applied Sciences offer best perspectives for the future career entry of the students.

Comprehensive accessibility

As an integrative University of Applied Sciences, we also create ideal study conditions for students with handicaps or chronic diseases. Due to technical building reconstructions a fully access for students with wheelchairs is available. The facilities also conform to the needs of students with vision or auditory defects, corresponding measures and a supporting study organisation impede disadvantages. As for example, in the faculties of business economics, social affairs/ social pedagogics and CS technically facilitated and study-orientated support for blind and partially sighted persons is given.

Advanced academic studies

The issue „Lifelong Learning“ is not only for us as a University of Applied Sciences prevailing than ever. Therefore, the Institute for Advanced Training (in German Institut für Weiterbildung e.V.) was founded as a non-profit association. With the objective to make the existent knowledge potential and new research expertise accessible for a wide range of people, we created for example a university for children, an academy for pupils, and an academy for seniors. We consider us a service provider for knowledge transfer and undertake comprehensively the task of putting into practice continuing- and further education.
