The Lausitz University of Applied Sciences in the state of Brandenburg was founded in 1991 and has a campus in Senftenberg and a campus in Cottbus. The cities of Berlin and Dresden are easily reached from both campuses, also the Spreewald biosphere reserve, the growing Lausitzer lakes region – the largest landscape construction site in Europe at the moment – and our neighbours Poland and the Czech Republic.
The courses on offer range form countless engineering and scientific disciplines – whose tradition reaches back to 1947 – through social and economic studies and even music.
Lausitz University of Applied Sciences offers its international applicants a Preperatory Programme including a one-year German Language Intensive Course as well as a German Conversation Tutorial and integrated subject-specific course units with reference to both cultural and scientific components. In addition, a tandem mentoring scheme runs alongside the Preperatory Programme. Lausitz University of Applied Sciences does not charge tuition fee for the Preperatory Programme. Participating students just pay their registration fee of 117 Euro per semester.
The application deadline for winter semester is August 31 and for summer semester February 28.
