Welcome to the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences! We were founded in 1991 and welcome international students for exchange and degree programmes alike.

We have two campuses in the cities of Senftenberg and Cottbus, both with excellent rail and road links to Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig, as well as to cities in Poland and the Czech Republic such as Wroclaw and Prague. Our campuses are surrounded by the world-famous Spreewald, a protected marshy woodland and inland delta landscape with traditional log houses and several hundred creeks, and the Lusatian Lake District, with plenty of man-made lakes.

Programmes

We offer a variety of degree programmes on Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in engineering and technology, natural sciences, social work, business administration as well as music education, among them a few programmes in English.

Exchange programmes

We also offer a studienkolleg-like preparatory programme for all international students applying with only basic German language skills. This programme is called “Bridge to Studies”.

Application deadlines

The general application deadline for winter semester (starting in March) is September 30 and for summer semester (starting in October) is February 28. However, there are deviating application deadlines for a couple of programmes.
